Our goals and services

Our goal is to provide academics, governments, international organisations and NGOs with information for research and evidence-based evaluation of public policies.

We do not offer information or counselling to individuals interested in acquiring the citizenship of a particular country and we do not encourage experts in our network to answer such requests.

A Detailed Bibliography on Citizenship

The EUDO CITIZENSHIP Bibliography is a gradually expanding multidisciplinary bibliography of academic literature on citizenship. Its core comprises literature on nationality laws of the countries covered by our observatory, as well as comparative literature on legislation and policies across countries, literature on EU citizenship and case law, literature on international law, and literature on citizenship theory in a broader perspective.

The database currently contains over 4,000 references.

All references in this database have been carefully checked and include as much detailed information as possible, with regard to author, publisher, year of publication, etc. Where available, references include abstracts and hyperlinks to the original online publication.

References also indicate the language of the original publication and include a translation of the title for publications in languages other than English.

Each reference is labelled with keywords in English and you can browse through our online database and generate your own specialized bibliography by selecting titles according to one or more thematic keywords.
