Our goal is to provide academics, governments, international organisations and NGOs with information for research and evidence-based evaluation of public policies.

We do not offer information or counselling to individuals interested in acquiring the citizenship of a particular country and we do not encourage experts in our network to answer such requests.

EUDO CITIZENSHIP results presented at the IGC workshop on citizenship

Helsinki, 8 June 2010

On 8 June Maarten Vink presented results of EUDO CITIZENSHIP comparative analyses to an IGC workshop on citizenship. The Intergovernmental Consultations on Migration, Asylum and Refugees is an informal, non-decision making forum for intergovernmental information exchange and policy debate on issues of relevance to the management of international migratory flows. The IGC brings together 17 States, the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, the International Organization for Migration and the European Commission. Under the current Finnish presidency, the IGC will focus on the topic of citizenship and migration.

 
Presentation of EUDO CITIZENSHIP research results at the EU Parliament

The presentation took place on June 2, 2010, at the European Parliament, 6.30 to 8pm, and was hosted by the EP Commitee on Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs ((LIBE) and the Committee on Constitutional Affairs (AFCO).  It was co-organised with the EUDO Observatory on Political Parties and Representation.

EUDO CITIZENSHIP was represented by co-directors Rainer Bauboeck and Jo Shaw, and by Maarten Vink (Maastricht University).

EUDO CITIZENSHIP results presented at IGC Helsinski meeting

The Intergovernmental Consultations on Migration, Asylum and Refugees is an informal, non-decision making forum for intergovernmental information exchange and policy debate on issues of relevance to the management of international migratory flows. The IGC brings together 17 States, the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, the International Organization for Migration and the European Commission. Under the current Finnish presidency, the IGC will focus on the topic of citizenship and migration. On 7 May, 2010, Rainer Bauböck presented EUDO CITIZENSHIP to the Full Round of Consultation.

 
EUDO CITIZENSHIP Second Network Conference - Comparing Citizenship in Europe

Edinburgh, 21-22 January 2010

The EUDO CITIZENSHIP Second Network Conference took place in the School of Law at the University of Edinburgh. Over 60 citizenship experts from all over Europe took part in the two-day event, where the research results of the project were presented.
